2016 AOPA Fly-In coming to Prescott Airport

In October 2015, PrescotteNews reported on the Aircraft Owner's and Pilot's Associations selection of the Prescott Airport for one of its four regional fly-ins in 2016.

Now, the Prescott Municipal Airport (KPRC) aviation community is set to meet on Thursday, January 14, 2016, 10 AM to 1130 AM at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University DLC Auditorium to begin planning for the AOPA Regional Fly-In & Aerial Demonstration that will take place at the Prescott Airport on September 30th and October 1st, 2016. Aviation companies, institutions, pilots as well as local businesses wanting to exhibit at the event are invited to hear more about the event and the planning process.

Significant Event for Prescott & The Southwest

The meeting will be a 90-minute kick-off rally for this significant regional event that is expected to be economically beneficial to many businesses throughout the surrounding region including hotels, restaurants, small businesses, museums, and concessions.

The AOPA Fly-in will also be a significant aviation event not only for the Prescott region, but also for aviation enthusiasts throughout the southwest, drawing hundreds of private aircraft and aviators from surrounding states and beyond.
