Many Come Out to Celebrate Annual Parade, Pancake Breakfast and Corn Dinner

CHINO VALLEY- Individuals lined the street across from Memory Park in Chino Valley Saturday morning, September 2nd,to enjoy the 37th annual Chino Valley Territorial Capital Days Parade. Motorcycles, school busses, floats lined with trophies, classic cars and animals were on full display as many organizations in the community took part.

“It brings everybody together,” Morning Lions Club Member Tom Payne said. “This is what small town America is, especially in rural communities like this, it’s a great opportunity to get together and just be a community.”

As is tradition, the parade followed the pancake breakfast and preluded the corn dinner. New in 2017 was carnival rides, food trucks and a band-which kept crowds entertained throughout the day.

Payne said the additions were able to be featured following assistance from the city after the cancelation of the Fourth of July fireworks due to the Goodwin Fire.
