Yavapai County Seeks Input on Community Health Survey

17 March 2017
Seeking to learn what is needed for a healthier, happier place to live, the Yavapai County Health Department is seeking input on the 2017 Community Health Assessment.

“Does your neighborhood need more room to run, bike and play? Do you have enough access to healthy food? Yavapai County Community Health Services (YCCHS) wants to know what you need in your community to make it a healthier, happier place to live. YCCHS is partnering with Pinnacle Prevention, a public health services nonprofit, to conduct the 2017 Community Health Assessment. YCCHS is required to complete the assessment every five eyars, and the last assessment was completed in 2012.”

According to a YCCHS press release, the assessment is a comprehensive examination of opportunities for improvement and health needs in Yavapai County. The purpose is to identify pressing health concerns and and needs by collecting information and data from the community. The assessment will be completed between March and June, 2017.

The survey is available in both English and Spanish. All Yavapai County residents are encouraged to take the survey, participate in a focus group or be interviewed. There are 19 questions, and should take no longer than 10 minutes.

YCCHS expects that the data collected from the assessment will help provide a better understanding of health needs and establish priorities in addressing the needs to result “...in a healthier Yavapai County for everyone.”
