Yavapai County Attorney Presents Performance Awards

The Yavapai County Attorney’s Office recently presented its outstanding prosecutor awards for fiscal year 2015-2016. Sheila Polk, Yavapai County Attorney, stated: “I am grateful to have so many outstanding employees who are truly dedicated to keeping our communities safe. The performance of these award winners reflects the excellent teamwork behind the scenes of the entire office as we strive to ensure that justice is done in every case we handle.”

Victim Advocate of the Year – Tony Camacho

Tony Camacho joined the Yavapai County Attorney’s Office as a Victim Advocate in November 2007 and has consistently provided exceptional service to the victims in Yavapai County.

Rising Star Prosecutor of the Year – Casi Akerblade

Casi Akerblade has been a prosecutor with the Yavapai County Attorney’s Office since December of 2013. Her dedication to ensuring that justice is done in every case she handles and her outstanding trial skills make her Yavapai County’s Rising Star.

Misdemeanor Prosecutor of the Year – Jonathan Hale

Jonathan Hale has been working in Yavapai County’s busiest justice court since 2014. He juggles a high volume court with professionalism and humor despite the never-ending pressure and has earned his reputation as an ace prosecutor.

Felony Prosecutor of the Year – Kevin Schiff

Kevin Schiff’s dedication, exemplary legal skills, and commitment to mentoring and training others in our profession make him our Felony Prosecutor of the Year.

Excellence in Victim Advocacy – Michael McGill

Mike McGill approaches all his cases with extraordinary compassion, kindness and respect for victims. His ongoing work to ease victims through the trauma of the criminal process has earned his selection for the Office’s Excellence in Victim Advocacy Award.
