Warmer Weather This Week

06 March 2018   Dr. Curtis James
Forecast Discussion:

High pressure will dominate the weather pattern for most of the week, and temperatures will rise into the upper 60s by Wednesday or Thursday. Breezy conditions and partly cloudy skies are expected later in the week as the high pressure begins to flatten out and pressure contrasts tighten across the Southwest. A weather disturbance could affect the area on Saturday – Sunday for a slight chance of rain showers, but there is still considerable uncertainty in this forecast.

Despite recent rain and snow events in late January – February, we are still way below normal for our cold season precipitation. Unless we receive some heavy snows or rains in the next couple of months, it will probably be another difficult fire season this Spring – early Summer.
