Warm Temperatures in the Forecast

08 May 2018   Dr. Curtis James
Above normal temperatures this week, no precipitation.

Forecast Discussion:

High pressure will prevail over the Southwest this week for mostly sunny skies (but with occasional periods of high clouds). Temperatures will be above normal all week, and precipitation is not expected. However, a low pressure system will move slowly across the Great Basin Thursday – Saturday, creating a strong pressure contrast across Arizona, leading to another round of dry breezy to windy conditions. This will lead to red flag conditions.

Please note, that Yavapai County is now under Stage II Fire Restrictions (see https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/prescott/news-events/?cid=FSEPRD578706). Please be very cautious and help us to prevent wildfires these next couple of months!
