The Yavapai College District Governing Board (DGB) will hold a budget workshop and its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 9. The workshop begins at 9:30 a.m. and the regular meeting commences at 1 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the Prescott Campus Rock House, 1100 E. Sheldon St., in Prescott.
The budget workshop agenda includes discussion of the fiscal year 2016-2017 Preliminary Budget. The meeting is scheduled to adjourn at about 12:30 p.m.
The agenda for the regular monthly meeting includes consideration of the third amendment to an Intergovernmental Lease Agreement between Northern Arizona Council of Governments (NACOG), Head Start and Yavapai College for land at the Verde Valley Campus.
Information from Yavapai College President, Dr. Penny Wills, will include discussion of the College’s Smoking Policy and presentation of her bi-annual Community Update Newsletter.
Dr. Clint Ewell, Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services, and Frank D'Angelo, Controller, will provide a brief presentation and address questions from the Board regarding the Independent Auditors’ Report on Internal Controls, the Financial Audit, the status of the Federal Single Audit and other communications.
Dr. Ewell will also present capital budget information including a Capital Improvement Plan for consideration by the Board for the new FY 2016-2017 budget year.
The regular meeting offers an opportunity for residents of Yavapai County to provide their input on any issue within the jurisdiction of the Yavapai College District Governing Board. Meeting attendees who wish to address the Board must complete a "Request to Speak" form, submit it to the recording secretary, and be prepared to deliver remarks within the allotted time limit.
