Open House May 10 – 12: Mother’s Day Garden Celebration

PRESCOTT, AZ, April 7, 2019

Bring on Spring! Our budding romance with Spring bursts into bloom with Watters Garden Centers Mother’s Day Open House. Spanning the weekend of May 10 – 12, the open house will dazzle all the senses with brilliant color, fragrant flowers, tantalizing textures, and more! Watters is bringing the flowers from the fields to the forefront to show off this year’s newest flowers, brightest evergreens, and freshest new bloomers. 

Friday, May 10 starts off the celebration with Mother’s Day inspired hanging baskets she can enjoy for the rest of the season. Created specially by expert growers, these baskets feature flowers unique to this event and perfect for our northern Arizona climate.

Saturday and Sunday, May 11 – 12 everything's coming up roses! The garden center explodes with color as more than 700 specialty roses arrive, providing stunning bouquets again and again. Watters has groomed the most beautiful, fragrant, hardy varieties, including mom's old favorite Mr. Lincoln, and super bloomers like Rosie The Riveter and Pillow Fight.  Watters Rose Queen, Cheryl Christensen, hand-picked dozens of mother loving varieties not only for their color and fragrance but for their ability to thrive in local conditions. Cheryl and Watters rose experts will be on hand all weekend to help gardeners with the insider’s tips and tricks that keep flowers blooming in stunning fashion.

Open to the gardening public, the weekend-long event features giveaways for moms, impromptu free garden classes, gorgeous new plants, and expert advice for new and experienced gardeners alike. Watters believes flowers make mom happier, so come in and help her get her hands dirty and her heart full!
