Opinion: Disappointment

I would like a president who can be the bigger man.

I'm disappointed. And, if there's one thing I hate, it's to be disappointed.

Why? Simple. I would like a president who can be the bigger man. I would like a president who will be able to function without crazy, suffocating scrutiny by a congress bent on massacre.

It appears that I am to be denied. I can see the headlines now:

"President Trump orders drone strike after accusations of being a vegan"

"President Clinton is answering her 207th subpoena to appear before congress"

And the list goes on.

What's missing are going to be headlines like these:

"President leads the charge with Congress to rebuild the middle class"

"President announces bipartisan support of the veterans' relief package"

You know, stuff that might actually make a difference.

It's becoming more and more obvious that, if anything positive is going to happen, it's going to be on an individual basis. It will take us to do right.

I'm not sure there was ever any other option.
