Young Republicans Host Gubernatorial Debate Tonight

24 March 2014
Embry Riddle is the venue for tonight's debate.
It's well known that Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett is running for Governor. So is Arizona State Senator Al Melvin, City of Mesa Mayor Scott Smith and Former Go Daddy Executive VP Christine Jones. And they're all coming to Prescott tonight to offer an opportunity for the public to learn more about them and about their vision for the State of Arizona.

Hosted by the Yavapai County Young Republicans, the candidates will be on stage at 7:00 PM at the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Davis Learning Center. Doors open at 6:30.

In recent debates some of the hot topics were Economic Development and Jobs, Immigration, Common Core, ObamaCare and the state budget. Although they are all Republicans, the candidates have different views on how to address the issues.

The debate will be moderated by County Supervisor Tom Thurman, Republican Committee Chair Jim Dutton and Young Republicans President Matthew Perry.

Expect a polite, but vigorous debate.
