Prescott Valley City Council To Unveil new NAZ Suns Dedicated Street Signs
  • Sundogs Blvd will become NAZ Suns Way in Prescott Valley
  • It's "Salute to Heroes Night"
  • This is the last game of the 2017-18 season

WHAT: The Prescott Valley City Council has approved the renaming of a street near the Prescott Valley Event Center to honor the Northern Arizona Suns. What is currently Sundogs Blvd. will become NAZ Suns Way on Saturday in a special unveiling at 3 p.m.

Before the NAZ Suns host their season finale titled “Salute to Heroes Night,” the Prescott Valley City Council, NAZ Suns front office and NAZ Suns coaching staff will take part in the unveiling of the new street signs. The future NAZ Suns Way is located in the northwest corner of the Prescott Valley Event Center parking lot.

This event will be open to the public and will take place during the pregame activities leading up to the season finale. Other pregame activities include displays from/of helicopters, SWAT, K9 unit, Fire Engine and patrol cars. Representatives and displays from Prescott Valley Police, Central Arizona Fire, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Chino Valley Police, DPS Ranger-Flagstaff, YCSO Jeep-Posse, VFW, Yavapai Tribal Police and the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office will be in attendance. Family events include a bounce house, face painting, pony rides and corn hole, with food available for purchase. A Phoenix International Raceway pace car will be there and The CheekTones Band will be performing live.
