Council To Discuss Equipping Police Car for $35,000

This Thursday is the regularly scheduled Town Council meeting.

jbunkerChino Valley Town Council will meet on Thursday, October 22, 2009 as regularly scheduled. An executive session may also be necessary.

Two presentations will take place, one to proclaim November 2, 2009 as "All Faiths, One Prayer Day"'; and another by Marianne Wear and Harvey Jones regarding the new Chino Valley Foundation for Seniors.

The Town will submit a Request for Information proposal to the EECBG (Energy Efficiency Community Block Grant) for an allocation from the American Recovery and Reinviestement Act, not to exceed $91,307.24. The funding for this would be provided through a reimbursement method from the American Department of Commerce.

The Town will vote on the equipping of a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria police unit. The amount is not to exceed $35,000, which requires some money to be transferred from the Capital Improvement Fund to the Capital Asset Replecement Fund. This uses up the $22,483 from the Arizona Municipality Risk Retention Pool dividend which was received in July.

Senior Center facility use fees may be amended, if a revised Facility Use Agreement is adopted.

Doreen's Backstreet Bar & Grill, located at 2879 N. Arizona Trail in Chino Valley is seeking to transfer a Series 6 liquor license.

And finally, the Town Council may decide to go into an executive session regarding its positon relating to the proposed Addendum No. 7 to the Wastewater Collection, Treatment and Effluent Recharge Construction Manager at Risk Contract.

The meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 6:00 pm in Council Chambers.
