08 October 2018   Leah Clickavage
Northern Arizona Council of Governments (NACOG) Title I Performance Standards are in for Program Year 2017

Each year, local workforce areas negotiate performance standards which is the process of collecting, analyzing and/or reporting information regarding the performance of various services and components. It can involve studying processes/strategies within Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), to see whether services are in line with what was intended or should have been achieved.

WIOA of 2014 is a workforce development program to provide an integrated workforce investment system that can better respond to the employment needs of its customers—current workers, workers laid-off due to restructuring or downsizing, and new entrants to the labor force, as well as employers.

Title I services provides workforce activities that increase the employment, retention, earnings, and attainment of credentials to individuals, age 16 and older, and as a result, improving the quality of the workforce, reducing dependency on public assistance, increasing economic self-sufficiency, and enhancing the productivity and competitiveness of the nation.
