On Thursday, January 10, 2019 Chino Valley Police Officers arrested Joseph David Henson at an address in Chino Valley after Henson had fled from Prescott Valley Police Officers in November, 2018. In mid-November of 2018 Prescott Valley Officers attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on Glassford Hill Road at excessive speed. The vehicle fled from officers at extreme speeds nearly causing several accidents. A passenger jumped from the moving vehicle at the intersection of Granville Parkway and Tuscany Way and was arrested. When officers attempted to block the vehicle from entering Glassford Hill Road, the vehicle driver evaded officers in such a dangerous manner with no regard for anyone else that officers discontinued engaging the vehicle.
The suspect was identified as 20 year old Joseph David Henson who had a valid Department of Corrections Parole Violation Warrant. Officers and detectives continued to investigate the incident until Henson was located and arrested. With the assistance of Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, Chino Valley Police Department and Partners Against Narcotic Trafficking (PANT), Henson was booked into the Yavapai County Jail on the Parole Violation Warrant, Unlawful Flight and Endangerment charges.
This is another example of the partnership among the various law enforcement agencies in Yavapai County as we continue to pursue those breaking the law and creating dangerous situations for the community.
