The National Cemetery Administration (NCA) will conduct a Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 27, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Prescott National Cemetery, Prescott, AZ.
There will be NO PARKING at the cemetery. Parking and shuttle service (to include wheelchair shuttle) will be available from the VA Hospital, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Follow the event parking signs.
You may also walk over to the cemetery from the VA Hospital area. Cross the street at the light and take the bike/walk way through the tunnel to the lower end of the cemetery. There will be a golf cart shuttle available from the lower end of the cemetery to the upper ceremony area.
Cemetery visitation and parking will resume after 1:00 p.m.
Guest Speaker for Memorial Day will be Jack R. Smith, Yavapai County Supervisor, District 5 and U.S. Army Veteran.
Sequence of events: Presentation of Colors; Invocation; Pledge of Allegiance/National Anthem; Procession-Local Veteran Service Organizations; Remarks; Special Music from the Granville Elementary School Choir and Song of the Pines-Sweet Adelines; Reading of the Gettysburg Address; Wreath Presentation/Aisle of Honor; Moment of Silence; Dove Release; Salute to the Fallen - (Rifle Salute with Taps); Benediction and Closing Song.
The community is invited to join the Prescott National Cemetery staff and help place gravesite flags on Saturday, May 25, at 8 a.m.
