13 August 2010   Steve Skurja
The FBI is teaming up with Yavapai Silent Witness to offer an award for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.

3500reward2Yavapai Silent Witness is offering a $1,000.00 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person/s involved in the death of 2-year-old Sylar Newton and the FBI is offering an additional $2,500.00 for the arrest and conviction of the suspect/s.

Sylar was camping with his custodial mother and her family when the 2-year-old disappeared from their Beaver Creek Camp Ground camp site on July 24, 2010. The camping area is near the community of Rim Rock in the Verde Valley some 75 miles south of Flagstaff.

Sylar was last seen that evening and has not been seen since. However, a two week search has revealed human remains approximately 2 miles from the camp site that might be that of Sylar.

If you have any information about this case call Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232. Remember that you never have to give your name.
