The Arizona Sonshine event is a two-day free clinic at the Prescott Valley Event Center, which will take place Wednesday and Thursday.
Medical services will include primary care service, vision services, dental services and a variety of other healthcare services.
Around 25 local doctors, nurses, dentists and optometrists, plus many more from around the state will participate, “…serving less fortunate people from all over the county,” according to Ron Brooks the spokesman for the event. “Counseling and other services will also be provided on a first come, first serve basis.”
Brooks said that it is a pilot program here in the Prescott area and will continue if successful.
The Arizona Sonshine event is sponsored largely by the Arizona Conference of Seventh Day Adventist. Other sponsors include Gaby’s Grill, Loma Linda University, Adventist Medical Evangelism Network, Henry Schein, Yavapai County and the Town of Prescott Valley.
