Brooklyn Fire Receives Minimal Amount of Rain

Progress continues to be made against the Brooklyn Complex Fires, east of I-17. 

Tuesday morning, Rocky Gilbert described the current situation:

As of Tuesday evening, the Brooklyn Fire is considered to be 85% contained, at 32,778 acres, according to Inciweb  The Bull Fire stands at 4,161 acres and is 76% contained. And the Cedar Fire is about 1,342 acres and 95% contained. 

No structures are threatened at this time. 

Inciweb reports, "Currently there are no evacuations or closures to I-17. However, a closure order is in effect for Agua Fria National Monument as well as road closures at the junction of Forest Road 24 and 41, Bloody Basin Road east of I-17, Table Mesa Road east of I-17, the junction of Forest Service Road 68 and 677, and Forest Road 24 north of Seven Springs.

"There is an FAA Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) covering all 3 fires. This TFR includes unmanned aircraft systems, or drones."

Pierson’s Type 1 Incident Management Team (IMT) will transfer command back to local firefighters Thursday morning at 6 AM. The estimate is for complete containment on Saturday, July 15 sometime in the early hours.
