Road Construction on Highway 260 near Cherry Creek Road.

Watch for delays on Highway 260 near I-17. ADOT crews are installing a temporary traffic signal at Cherry Creek Road near the City of Cottonwood. Work started yesterday and it’s expected to run from 8 pm to 5 am through this Wednesday as crews install the temporary signal and new roadway alignment. No work will take place during daytime hours. Meanwhile, crews will be installing the new junction structure for a new water pump station in the Pioneer Parkway and Willow Creek Road area in Prescott. Large trucks and heavy equipment will be accessing the project site at the corner of North Honey Suckle Road and East Morning Glory Lane. Work hours are 7 am to 6 pm today through Thursday, November 16th. The City and its contractor, Schofield Civil Construction, are scheduled to complete construction in winter of next year.

Deep Well Ranch: Let’s Talk Some More

The Prescott City Council meets at 1 tomorrow afternoon to discuss the Deep Well Ranch project. The workshop will focus on a comparison of key points of development under the existing zoning versus under the proposed Master Plan, as well as the Planning and Zoning Commission’s recommended conditions. The 1800 acre project near the Prescott Airport could bring more than 10 thousand homes to the area, but the Commission is recommending that number be cut in half. Council will also discuss the current state of water resources tied to the property, technical engineering matters proposed to be attached to the development agreement and airport protections. The workshop will be held in Council chambers on South Cortez Street.
