Special Report: Vet on the Path
Featured

02 April 2019

It’s an experience of a lifetime, and it’s one bucket list item that Shawn Murray almost didn’t get to make.

Murray has wanted to hike the Pacific Crest Trail for over 30 years. It’s a 2650 mile long trek, starting at the Mexican border and finishing up at the Canadian border. Murray expects it to take about 5 months.

But, Murray almost didn’t get to achieve his dream. In 2016, he had a widow-maker heart attack and the prognosis wasn’t good. For several months he had to use a walker - he just didn’t have the strength to get around.

Listen in as he describes the journey he’s been on, and the journey he has set for himself. He talks about his gear, the cost and his goals of helping other vets.

Murray will be starting out on April 9. Check out his GoFundMe page and drop in a few bucks!
