Yavapai Roughrider Fall 12-11 to So. Idaho

The Yavapai College Roughriders fell 12-11 to Southern Idaho on Saturday despite racking up 10 hits and 11 runs.

Nate Easley racked up three RBIs on two hits for YC. He tripled in the seventh inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

The game was never in doubt after the first, as Southern Idaho scored one run on an RBI single.

The Roughriders scored five runs in the top of the fifth to cut its deficit to six. A two-run double by Nick Guaragna, an RBI double by Ramsey Romano, and a two-run single by Brock Ephan set off the Green Machine rally.

A four-run seventh inning helped bring YC within three. A wild pitch, a two-run triple by Easley, and a wild pitch sparked Yavapai College Roughriders Varsity's rally.

After pushing across two runs in the top of the eighth, the Riders faced just a 12-11 deficit. An RBI double by Easley and a wild pitch gave YC life.
